The River Wild
Great movie with excellent actors and whitewater. Meryl Streep is phenomenal as always and Kevin Bacon makes a pretty good bad guy. Since everyone always wants to know, the first part of the movie was filmed on the Rogue River in Oregon and the gnar was filmed at Kootenai Falls in Montana.

White Water Summer
This is a classic 80's style movie featuring Sean Astin (who later became Samwise in the Lord of the Rings movies) and of course Kevin Bacon as the sort-of bad guy. For a film called White Water Summer there isn't much whitewater til the end - but its good class V (filmed in New Zealand).

Deliverance
A must see movie for river runners. Burt Reynolds is the man! Dueling banjos alone is worth the price of admission. The whitewater scenes are top notch as well. Don't miss it and squeal like a pig!

This is the ultimate river trip gone bad. River Rat Ray is the deranged psychotic guide that obviously didn't get tipped on his last trip. Only available in VHS.
